How It Works

Segment I, Segment II and the Road test

Step 1: Segment 1 Class

Step 2: Segment 2 class

Step 3: Road Skills Test

What is required for this step?

Student must be 14 years and 8 months old Student must possess Level 1 License for at least 3 months and log 30 hours (at least 2 at night) driving practice with parents Student must possess Level 1 License for at least 6 months with and log 50 hours (at least 10 at night) driving practice with parents

What’s involved? How long?

Student will attend three weeks of class (2 hours each class) and complete 6 drives Student will attend three days of class (2 hours each class) Student must complete road test with a certified tester (about 1 hour)

What do we get at completion?

Student will obtain the Level 1 License – students may drive with a parent Student will be able to take the Road Test Student will obtain the Level 2 License (must also be 16 years old) – students may drive without parents, with some restrictions
